SUN stands for "Schools Uniting Neighborhoods." SUN Community Schools coordinate and provide educational, recreational, social and health services.

SUN Community Schools serve all ages, preschool to seniors, with focus on the students in the immediate school community. They are open before and after school, evenings and weekends.

SUN Community Schools are a collaboration of Multnomah County Department of Human Services, the City of Portland Parks and Recreation, nonprofits and local school districts.
